CABINS & FACILITIES

There are only nine cottages, all built in the early 1950s, so Currawong never feels overcrowded. In addition to the cottages there is also the original homestead, Midholme dating from 1911. All available for rental but in the case of Midholme, preference is given to those who wish to book for a week or longer.

Each cottage can accommodate four adults or a family of five or six. There is one bedroom with double bed and a living area which contains a double sofa bed and single bed. There are also some folding beds and kids mattresses available on request. The cottages are comfortable with well equipped kitchens to ensure a fuss-free holiday break.

There are no televisions, radios, or telephones in the cottages. However there is a coin operated blue phone on the site and mobiles work well.

We provide:

Minimum of two doonas, five pillows and three blankets per cottage (you will need to bring your own bed linen as we do not provide sheets or pillow slips).
There are hot water showers in all cottages and two have baths.
A toilet is located behind each cottage and is stocked with toilet rolls and cleaning products.
Cooking and eating utensils, mugs, glasses, pots and pans, plug-in electric stovette with oven, microwave and refrigerator.

Midholme is the original homestead and has four bedrooms, two bathrooms, large kitchen and dining room as well as a large lounge with an open stone fireplace. Covered verandas on all sides add to the recreation space. There is also an attractively landscaped entertaining area with fire pit and barbeque.

The two front bedrooms each contain a queen size bed and the two back rooms each contain double bunk and a sofa bed. We provide doonas, pillows and blankets for each bed however guests will need to bring their own bed linen for each room. Please bring additional bed linen for the spare mattresses if they are needed.
